18 students and 1 teacher were baptized in Cambodia in October 2023!
New Hope offers this opportunity to new believers in our school community 1-2 times per year and we absolutely love celebrating new life together. Baptism is an outward expression of an inward transformation that has already begun. It is a declaration new believers make before their community that they're choosing to follow Jesus.
This step is particularly significant in Cambodia, as it means becoming part of the 3% Christian minority, carrying profound social and cultural weight. New Hope handles this process with the utmost care, ensuring students fully understand the significance of what they're doing and receive the support of their family before they do it.
As we celebrate these baptisms, we look forward to what the future holds. We're excited to witness more students and teachers taking this profound step in their faith journey.
