We’re raising $50,000 to expand our feeding program to meet the needs of our students.
The expanded program now includes breakfast and lunch on Monday through Friday and lunch on Saturday.
Two families and two churches came together to develop a $25,000 matching gift.
If you set up a recurring gift, your first year of giving, up to $1,000 per month, will be matched. Your one-time donation will also be matched up to $13,000!
$6 can fund one month of meals for one student.
$72 can fund one year of meals for one student.
$150 can fund one month of meals for one class.
$1,800 can fund one year of meals for one class.
Why are we expanding our feeding program?
According to the World Food Programme, nearly half of Haiti’s population experiences food insecurity (March 2024). Our Haitian staff recently reported that our school lunch is the only meal the majority of our students eat daily. Our students are hungry.
Our vision is to help every student who walks through our doors receive the opportunity to discover their God-given potential and use their gifts to transform their family, community, and country.
How can we help our students learn, develop, and reach their full potential if they’re hungry? How can we help them achieve their dreams if they have an empty belly?
In Matthew 25:31-46, Jesus shares a parable that reinforces the call of Christians to care for people in need. He invites us to feed the hungry as though it is him we’re feeding. This is our call. Haiti is more unstable than we’ve ever seen it before, and our staff and students are suffering.
